Forces of Valor German Heavy Tank Destroyer Sd.186 Jagdtiger Schwere Panzerjäger Henschel suspension type Germany March 1945 Model Number: 801024A Registration: FGST.305020 Dimensions: 24 x 12 x 8.5 cm Scale: 1/32 As a tank destroyer, the creation of the fearsome Jagdtiger was heavily influenced by one of its predecessors, the Sturmgeschutz III. Unlike a tank, a tank destroyer mounted its main armament within the hull of the vehicle, or more often in a completely enclosed, integral armoured casemate as part of the main hull. From a purely economical standpoint, it was determined that a self-propelled gun was far cheaper to build than a tank boasting a powered turret since it required far fewer parts and less labour, and was therefore easier to maintain than a traditional tank. Moreover, under wartime conditions, it would often times take a considerable amount of time and administrative work to repair a damaged tank turret with the goal of getting the vehicle back into the field as quickly as possible. Forces of Valor is well known to the collectors for three fundamental elements; Die-cast, Weathering effects and Moving parts. Since the first 1/32 scale tank debuted to the market, collectors were fascinated by the amount of details being added to the model, what collectors found most surprisingly upon seeing the models was the of level surface detail, even the internal engine, ventilation pipes, internal main gun stowage bin, something that everyone would normally neglect. To appeal the devoted collectors Forces of Valor has spent a significant amount of time & engineering into developing the hatch & hinges, different kind of gearings etc. Without actually visiting a museum, you can inspect the mechanical components with Forces of Valor replicas.
