This bag of special wood chips are used with a food smoker. Please note that these are small wood chips, not the large bark type. The chips come from the Alder tree giving a unique and distinctive flavour to all foods. Depending on storage conditions and humidity factors, some traces of moisture may occur naturally in this product. This may make lighting the product more difficult. If this is the case we suggest microwaving the product before use, this will remove any naturally occurring excess moisture, helping to ensure the chips ignite and smoke as intended.
