The handles and grips are designed to allow greater mechanical advantage for crisp, controlled cutting. The S14 Bolt Cutter has a centre cut. It has multiple capacities for different types of metal. For Soft Steel and nonferrous metals, such as bolts, screws, rivets, and wire, the capacity is 5/16″ (7.9 mm); for Iron and steel the capacity is 1/4″ (6.4 mm); for Stainless steel, spring wire, heat-treated rod, and reinforcing rod, the capacity is 3/16″ (4.8 mm).
