Due to its purely mechanical design, a macro reverse ring does not allow an electronic exchange between the lens and the camera, which is why the aperture must be adjusted manually and the focusing must be carried out by hand. Most modern cameras can calculate exposure time via automatic timer. However, for a few models you will need to manually make the exposure time. In some rare cases, it may also be necessary to disable the trigger lock.
