Adams has always been concerned about our impact outside of the home and in the broader community. Sustainability is one of the foundations that the company was built on, and it remains a core mission of the company to this day. Every J.K. Adams product is made in America from sustainably-grown and harvested North American wood. We fuel our facility by burning wood scraps and ship sawdust to area farmers to use on their fields and as beds for their animals. We have employed many generations of local families and remain one of the largest employers in the area. This is a commitment that we take seriously. Dorset, Vermont the town that J K Adams calls home, was incorporated in 1761. In honour of this year and of many talented craftsmen who have shaped the community since its founding, they designed the 1761 Collection from Ash with Driftwood teak oil finish. Each oversized, warm wood board has a fabulous ultra-smooth finish. Makes an attractive platter when used to serve bread, cheeses and meat to the table. It can also be used as a chopping board and comes with a handle for easy carrying and placement.
