1 x Plastic 240mm Enclosure supplied with Steel Back Plate, this box is IP56 rated so can be installed outdoors, the screws are plastic so no need to worry about rusting – this enclosure has an unlimited amount of uses, they can simply be used as a junction box for housing cable connections and instruments or they can be adapted, ie customers will cut holes on the lid and install switches, indicator lights etc on to it, example of this are using it as a case for: Fan control Station, Pump Control Station, Amplifier, Transformer, Batteries, Heating controllers and many many other uses. Ingress Protection Rating: IP56 – Indoor or outdoor use, Protected from dust and powerful jet spray, Dimensions: (Internal) L: 240 x W: 190 x D: 90mm (External) L: 252 x W: 198 x D: 100mm (Plate) L: 235 x W: 175mm, Box and Screws are a PVC plastic grey halogen free construction, meaning no rustable parts, Hinge Feature: If 2 Screws are left partially screwed into 1 side, the lid has cut outs at the screws which allows it to hinge – it is a very basic hinge feature, Plain sides: Can be drilled or cut for cable and instrument entry, Ribbing around the sides adds more strength to the box, Raised ribbing on the floor allows for back plate mounting – Steel back plates are available in our other listings, There are no knockouts or knockout guides on the box, this allows the user to cut the box wherever they need making it perfect for custom projects – cable entry holes can easily be drilled with a holesaw, obviously when a hole is drilled the box loses it’s IP Rating, so a suitable gland or sealant will then be required to fill any gaps around the hole, screws can also be sealed.
