Myrtle oil is produced by steam distillation of the leaves, twigs and sometimes flowers of this fragrant shrub which grows wild across Southern Europe and Northern Africa. It blends well with Lavender, Rosemary, Clary Sage, spice oils, Bergamot and other citrus oils. Other members of Myrtle’s family include Tea Tree and Eucalyptus and, as can be expected from this, it is highly purifying and clearing. Myrtle is not as harsh as its relatives and is ideal for use on children. Why not try blending 3 drops of Myrtle with 2 drops of Bergamot and 1 drop of Lime in a burner or diffuser (All available our Absolute Aromas store store) for a cleansing, uplifting aroma.
