ACTIVE SOL pilot fit-over sunglassesBy their very nature, fit-over sunglasses have to be larger than conventional sunglasses to fit over the normal corrective glasses. The fit-over pilot glasses meet all the requirements of fit-over sunglasses while catching the eye with their distinctive design. Sun protection, UV 400 protectionThe sun protection corresponds to filter category 3 in conformance with EU Standard 12312-1: only between 8% and 18% of visible light can penetrate the lenses. This means that they protect against strong sunlight, while still being approved for driving a car. The harmful UV rays with a wavelength of less than 400 nm are completely filtered out, thus guaranteeing full UVA and UVB protection. Polarised lenses for more safetyDue to the polarisation of the glasses, reflections are considerably reduced – while the contrast is increased and colours appear stronger and more vivid. This is not only easy on the eyes – the improved vision also increases safety in road traffic. Pilot sunglassesThe special form of the slightly convex glasses has been developed to cover the entire field of view of the eye and allow as little unfiltered light as possible through to the eye. As the name suggests, these pilot glasses were first worn by pilots – this style of glasses was made famous by General MacArthur in the Second World War.
