*All whelping kits come in a sealed bag keeping everything clean and together until ready to use.
Please note all sterile items are packaged as single use items only! Many breeders ourselves included will often re use the items for more than one litter. We just re sterilise all instruments before each litter.
1 x Kidney dish non sterile
28 x Free Tyvek Bands (Paper like Material) – Easily identify puppies from birth, We use these for the first week while mum very messy and then we change to the quick release collars around 1 week old They last then until puppies leave us. Width can be cut in half on the tyvek bands to make two bands or for the smaller breeds some breeders cut in 3. They can even joined together for larger/older puppies. (Total 4 coloured bands per puppy when cut in half) * Please check daily and change as required, NOT Reusable
1 x Sterile Stainless Scissors (Blunt/Blunt for safety)
2 Pairs of latex free gloves (Large non sterile)
5 x Small Cotton White Towels non sterile
1 x 500g Beaphar Puppy Powdered Milk – Beaphar Lactol is a complete milk replacement feed for orphaned puppies. It can also be used for weaning puppies, pregnant or lactating dogs, or on sick or convalescing animals. Lactol has been produced for over 100 years, and has saved the lives of countless young animals. It is made from easily digested whey products and closely resembles natural bitch’s milk.
1 x Feeding Bottle 50ml
2 x Whelping Box Liners non sterile
1 x Medical Grade Digital Thermometer with storage case – 12 – 24 hours prior to giving birth, the mother’s temperature may drop. (Normally at least One degree drop indicates labour starting) Record temperature on the PDF chart that is included
2 x Reusable Cord Clips 38mm (Mini Size) – Pinch off umbilical cords in an emergency. We leave these on for for about 20 minutes or so.

This kit is supplied to assist breeders with successful whelping a litter of puppies, it is not a substitute for veterinary care that may be needed for your female if complications during whelping. We accept no liability for loss or illness that may occur during/after whelping. Please have a vet on standby and if problems occur please seek professional care.
