The Altai Trek PRO water filter is an extremely lightweight – only 65 grams – and versatile second generation filter. This little filter comes in handy on countless occasions, from camping with children to traveling overseas, where tap water and bottle water cannot be trusted. The filter removes 99.9999% of bacteria such as salmonella and other harmful bacteria that cause cholera and E. coli as well as protozoa such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. The filter can be used to drink directly from the water source (with or without the supplied extension tube) or it can be screwed onto normal standard plastic bottles. The Altai Trek PRO water filter is useful for filtering 1000 liters of water.
