Shea Butter has many applications. It softens dry, chapped or sun burnt skin, it prevents appearance of wrinkles and it is used for the treatment of stretch marks, eczema, small wounds, burns or insect bites. It is also an effective hair conditioner. The temperature of melting of the shea butter is about 40oC. At a temperature below 20 ° C shea butter is in a solid state.
