At the beginning of the game, players will all receive the same number of cards representing events in the history of France. On the back of each card is a date. To get started, a card is randomly drawn from the cards not distributed to the players. It is placed in the center of the table face visible date and is the starting point of a time line that will be completed by the players. The first player then chooses one of his cards. If he thinks that the date of the invention of his card dates from before the date of the original card, he puts his card on the left of the card. If he believes that his invention was created after, he puts his card to the right of the original card. The player’s card is then returned, face date visible. If he is right, it stays in place. Otherwise, the card is depressed and it needs to pick another card to replace it. The first player to get rid of his cards wins the game!
