Astell&Kern A&Norma SR15 High Resolution Portable Music Player/mp3 Player/Digital Player – Dark Grey

Astell&Kern’s newly introduced standard line, the A&norma, sets the standard of Hi-Fi audio for novice listeners. The SR15 is the first model in the A&norma line and is the beginning point of the Hi-Fi Audio experience, allowing you to enjoy the philosophy and technologies of Astell&Kern.
Astell&Kern believes that Hi-Fi should be as close to the original performance as possible. The SR15 has a Dual-DAC setup, using two audio DAC chips for a true sound. By adopting the MasterHIFI CS43198 low power audio DAC (for the first time in a portable system) and pairing it with the Astell&Kern analogue amp design, music is delivered with liveliness and the warmth of sound without distortion.
The A&norma SR15 is designed to remove distractions from your audio, including noise, distortion and an unintuitive user interface. With a Quad-core CPU, the SR15 gives more processing power for digital music, paired with a faster, natural, user interface experience – the same as that used in the A&ultima SP1000.
Play any resolution of digital files bit-to-bit up to 24-bit/192kHz with the SR15. DSD is native up to 64MHz, whilst DSD 128 MHz is converted to PCM for playback. The A&norma SR15 also accommodates 32-bit audio, by downsampling via the SRC (Sample Rate Converter) method.
Using a USB connection, the A&norma SR15 can be used as a digital music storage device, as well as a pre-amp to output digital audio through USB. DSD is transferred in native format through DoP (DSD over PCM) and converts DSD to PCM for output for external USB Audio that do not support DoP.
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) delivers the sound of the original master recording. Master MQA files are fully authenticated, whilst still small enough to stream or download. Equipped with MQA technology, the Astell&Kern A&norma SR15 plays back MQA audio files and delivers the sound of the original master recording.
