The Cleanance HYDRA soothing moisturiser has moisturising and regenerating properties and thus acts against the skin irritating effects of medical acne treatments. Indication: In puberty, blemishes usually occur in many cases, pimples and acne-like conditions with inflammation and scarring formation. Although young people are predominantly affected by acne, women and men aged over 25 years are increasingly suffering from it. Skin impurities arise from a predominantly hormonally conditioned, excessive sebum production (hyperseborrhea), which is shown in oily shiny skin. Due to a callousing disorder of the sebaceous gland follicles (follicular hyperkeratosis), the sebum can no longer drain, which is why microcomedones form under the skin. Depending on the condition, these appear whitish or black (“blackheads”). Increased colonization with the bacteria C. acnes can eventually lead to inflammatory processes and the formation of paples and pustules, which often only cure under scarring formation. For severe forms of acne, medical acne treatment may be necessary by dermatologists. Antibiotics or vitamin A preparations (e.g. isotretinoin and retinoids) usually eliminate pimples, pustules and paples quickly, but dry the skin strongly. Many acne patients are therefore related to skin redness, itching and flaking. To counteract the effects of medical acne treatment, the skin needs gentle care products that replenish the moisture retention of the skin and restore the skin barrier.
