This 7-segment LED module with 8-bit uses the widely used MAX7219 driver to drive the individual segments. The module can easily be connected to a microcontroller of your choice and allows you to control an 8-digit 7-segment display with only three I / O pins! Display can be easily programmed using open source libraries and includes 150µA low-power shutdown mode, analog and digital brightness control, scan-limit register which will allow the user to display from 1 to 8 digits, and a test mode that forces all LEDs on.
