Version 3 of the Bullet Buddy is much tougher and more flexible than previous models allowing it to support a wider range of harmonicas. It has been designed with hands-free use specifically in mind and is more comfortable to use with a neck than before. It omits the sound chamber of the original Bullet Buddy’s design so that the mic’s element is brought as close as possible to the harmonica for maximum ‘compression’ of the sound giving it a deep and rich bassy tone. It can still be used hand-held if you wish or with the appropriate Ammo Clip** on a mic stand. The bullet buddy is designed to be used with a wide variety of harmonica (bullet) and vocal microphones, but for simplicity only the most popular are listed here. The Bullet Buddy has been designed to fit the Konig & Meyer 14615 neck rack specifically but also works well with a Hohner FlexRack. Other types of neck rack may also work but but have not been tested by us and are not guaranteed to be suitable. When attached to the mic the whole Bullet Buddy unit fits into an Ammo Clip Bullet Mic holder on a mic stand.
