BBB Cycling’s Dune helmet is one of the most popular cycling helmets for road or mountain biking. It’s a multifunctional helmet that can be used for all sorts of active sports. This 2.0 version of the Dune helmet is enriched with an additional patented brain protection system (MIPS). MIPS protection MIPS is a brain protection system and is found inside the helmet. The BBB Cycling Dune MIPS has this system; it’s designed with extra protection against rotational motion. Most helmets will protect you against linear impact, but with MIPS it will also protect you against rotational energy (angular velocity) and rotational forces (from angular acceleration). In-mold safety The helmet has an in-mold construction which gives the helmet a great resistance against cracking from an external blow. The shell and foam are fused together. The full-thickness foam liner maximizes the impact management for any given thickness of the helmet. The Dune helmet has a single shell construction, only one shell is covering the helmet. Airflow Cooling System (ACS) This cooling system is an in-house design of BBB Cycling. The shape of the foam and padding have an unique design. Within this shape the air will be guided over the head through air channels which guarantees an optimal ventilation. Padding for comfort The padding of the BBB Cycling helmets are a bit thicker than other helmets, to provide you with optimal comfort. It almost feels like you;re not wearing a helmet at all! The padding is washable. Adjust fit in height and size Thanks to the Omicron adjustment fit system the helmet will fit according to the riders’ preference. The helmet is also adjustable in height so a perfect fit can created for everybody. It is very easy to tighten and release the helmet with just one hand. The Dune helmet for cycling has standard straps and strap dividers. No more irritation about wriggled straps! Removable visor Whether you’re tackling a tough trail or looking for speed on the asphalt this Dune helmet is perfect either way. Choose for yourself if you’d like the visor on or off the helmet. It’s easy to remove or attach. The visor can help you to protect you from rain or heavy sunshine.
