Laptrays are an excellent item to give as a gift or to buy for yourself as they can be both decorative or humorous as well as being most practical. When purchasing a padded laptray (bean bag laptray) be sure to check the depth of the cushion as you will want one which is reasonably filled to allow a natural moulding shape around your legs. If you get one which has too many “beans” you may find it does not sit comfortably, likewise, the same applies if a tray has few “beans” and therefore cannot mould at all. As a general rule of thumb, the depth should be around 2.5″ to 3.5″ inches. You may also consider the weight of the tray, a lightweight tray can sometimes equal poor quality construction.
