The AirBee&Bee provides space for solitary pollinator species to take up residence and offers a window into their world. This home is exclusively for the habitat of native solitary nesting bees, not for harvesting honey. Made using sustainably sourced native pinewood. Over 90% of pollinators species don’t actually live in hives, they are solitary, living alone in ground nests or cavities. Cavity nesting bees use existing cavities such as a hollow plant stem. We can help create more habitat by providing cavities of our own. The AirBee&Bee replicates these ideal nesting conditions, providing the setting for pollinators to hibernate through the winter or raise their young. Care Guide: The AirBee&Bee doesn’t require much attention. All that is needed is to check once a year for when bees have emerged in Spring or Summer, slide out the window and give the nesting passages a quick clean. A wet cloth will do, no chemicals! (This helps remove parasites for the next generation). Keep the sliding door positioned inside the home when not in use.
