The Thunderbolt 3 Dock Core brings the speed, high-definition and power delivery of Thunderbolt technology to Mac* and Windows laptops. With all the power and versatility of Thunderbolt 3, plus ports to connect multiple peripherals to a Thunderbolt 3 laptop, this dock is the most streamlined way to create an expanded, high-performing desktop with multiple peripherals, through a single dock solution.*Due to the chipset included in the recent M1 Mac computers, they are unable to support dual “extended” external monitors through their Thunderbolt 3 ports.  While you can still use a Thunderbolt 3 dock with the recent M1 line of Mac computers to charge your laptop and gain USB, Ethernet, and audio connections, you will only be able to use a single monitor while connected to these docks.  This is not a limitation of the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 docks, but of the Thunderbolt 3 ports on the recent M1-based Mac.  This limitation is not present on Intel-based Mac computers: Belkin has been made aware of potential issues relating to external monitors not coming out of sleep mode while connected to 2019-2020 Intel-based MacBook Pro computers using Big Sur version 11.3 (or earlier) through a Thunderbolt 3 Dock docking station. The issue requires a full shutdown of the MacBook. Belkin have not seen this issue arise with the M1-based MacBooks, and Belkin is investigating the issue with Belkin’s technology partners to swiftly resolve it. To reduce instances of the issue ensure your computer is fully out of sleep mode before docking or undocking.
