The magician presents a special Bicycle deck as each card in the deck is pierced in two places. It mixes this deck with insistence and can even propose to one or more spectators to cut it as many times as they want. He then proposes to a spectator to choose a card in order to keep it in memory. Then the latter is given freely in the deck which is immediately mixed without having to make suspicious movements. The magician then presents a Chinese wand that the spectators can examine. This is a classic food wand as found in restaurants. It inserts this rod into one of the holes of the deck in order to cross it through and through. The whole deck is therefore suspended from it.
