Vermiculite is a “biological water retention” that holds watering water and then releases it slowly, which is very helpful in plant cultivation, especially when sowing. Distributed over sown containers: reduces evaporation of water, delays drying out the substrate and reduces the frequency of wetting, insulates the substrate from the environment, avoids thermal fluctuations, creates a micro-climate favourable to germination, facilitates the soaking of water by the seeds and the consequent best germination. MIXED TO COMPRESSE: Increases water capacity, holds water better, increases nutrient exchange capacity, reduces nutritional needs by reducing dilavation, promotes water resorption in dry substrates.
