The Bodum Bistro Cups are made of white porcelain and are surrounded by a natural cork shell case that protects them. The cork is a ideal insulator and allows a very comfortable grip. The case is going on under the bottom of the cup, eliminating the need for coasters. It can also be easily removed so the cups can be washed in the dishwasher (Natural Cork is in contact with water, but the hot steam and products that are right in the dishwasher do not).
