Instruction for use of our Eyelet Rings Our clip on eyelets can be used without eyelet pliers or any special tools. The rings are designed for use with light to medium weight fabrics and poles of up to 28mm curtain polesHow many eyelet rings do you need? We recommend using 9 rings per metre (approx. 2 times fullness) but, when calculating how many rings you require, you should always add up to an even number for each curtain. If you use an odd number of rings the outer edges of your curtain will not hang correctly on the poleThese rings are designed for use with lightweight to medium fabrics. When selecting your fabric and lining please consider the overall thickness, as it will be more difficult to clip the eyelet together the thicker the combination of fabric and lining There is no need for eyelet pliers or an eyelet toolHow to put eyelets into fabricStep 1Our rings usually arrive partly open, so they are easy to open just using a little pressure with your finger-tips, but if they are closed too much you can insert a small flat head screwdriver into the notch on the ring and carefully ease apart Step 2Now the rings are separated, using some sharp scissors ,and with the correct side of the fabric facing you, carefully cut away the fabric (and eyelet reinforcement if used) away from the inside of the eyelets. Do not worry about any fraying as the rings will hide any untidy edgesStep 3Place the side of the ring with the spikes on to the front of the fabricStep 4Place the other side of the ring at the back of the fabric and clip firmly together, making sure the fabric is nicely flat and not tucked up. Repeat this process with all the eyelet ringsAftercareBefore cleaning your curtains the eyelets should be removed, this is done by gently easing the rings away with a small flat head screwdriver, applying gentle pressure, then replace after washing
