Thanks to the Brunoplast Nivifix protective films / washers, discolouration caused by material abrasion on the tile surface. At the same time, the protective film / washer also protects against the finest scratches as they can occur when “grainy” materials such as tile adhesive etc. get between the pull hood and the tile surface. At about 3 – 5 % of commercially available tile materials, discolouration occurs due to material abrasion, especially (white) high-gloss tiles often have a very (scratch) sensitive surface. Depending on the nature of the tile surface, there may be occasional discolouration, which is caused by material abrasion when tightening / tightening the Nivifix hoods, which creates the desired pressure on the tile/tile surface. Since a tile does not see the sensitivity of its surface, we recommend the basic use of the protective films / washers. However, before the beginning of installation, you can check the material compatibility by rubbing the hood under firm pressure over the tile surface and checking if discolouration is caused by material abrasion. If this happens, discolourations can of course also be removed with special cleaners. However, this is very time-consuming and much more expensive than the preventative use of our protective films / washers.
