- ?SMUDGES Cedar smudge stick roughly 3 to 4 inches long.
- ?PROTECTION Cedar is mostly used to help protect people or places from unwanted influences. It has a history of use in sweat lodge ceremony, the smoke is said to attract good spirits and remove negative energies.

- ?DIRECTIONS Turn the smudge to around 45 degrees, light the end, allow it to flame for about 30 seconds and then blow out. Cedar smudges are often packed very tightly together. If your smudge is difficult to light this is probably the reason why. Simply tease the end apart to allow air in. Alternatively break pieces off and use them separately. Use a suitable container such as a shell to hold the lit smudge in.
