UPF 50+ UV protection: Our sun sails not only offer the natural textile sun protection of the 100%
polyester (PES) fabric, but also offer exceptional protection against aggressive and harmful UV
radiation. UPF stands for “Ultraviolet Protection Factor”. Depending on the UPF value, the UV
protection is described as being “very good” (UPF 25, 30 and 35) or “exceptional” (UPF 40, 45, 50, 50+).
According to the international standard, UPF 50+ is the highest sun protection factor for textile
materials, tested and certified in accordance with the European standard by the German Hohenstein

Stability: It is very important that you tension the sail with a slope of at least 20% to ensure that
water flows off quickly and to avoid the formation of water pockets.
Note: A sun sail offers a large target surface for wind. It should therefore be taken down in the event
of bad weather, storms or in winter, to protect it against damage. Please note: the sail is
impregnated and is therefore water-repellent – it is not 100% waterproof.
