Pandora was founded in 1982 by the Danish goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife in Copenhagen. Manufacturer’s labelling is a stamp indicating the origin of the jewellery. The usual manufacturer’s label on Pandora jewellery is ALE. This stands for Algot Enevoldsen, the father of Pandora founder Per Enevoldsen. Except for some of our smallest pieces, our jewellery always contains the ALE stamp. In Denmark, the manufacturer identification is referred to as a responsibility mark.
