- How to use: 1) Hydrate the discs: each disc is compressed and dry, so to activate it, place the disc in a bowl and add warm water. The disc will then expand as it absorbs water and takes a few minutes for them to fully expand.
- How to use: 2) Prepare the container: While the discs are expanding, prepare a clean tray or pot for each disc. Ensure the container has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.Once fully expanded, place each disc in its individual container. They should fit snugly and fill the container with their expanded, fluffy coir compost.
- How to use: 3) For seeds or cuttings: make a small hole in the centre of the moist coir compost, then place your seed or cutting into the hole. If you’re planting seeds, cover them lightly with a bit of the coir from the disc. For cuttings, gently press the coir around the stem to provide support.
- How to use: 4) Coco coir retains moisture well, but it’s crucial to keep it consistently moist, especially in the early stages of germination and rooting, so water lightly as needed ensuring the coir is moist, but not waterlogged.
