The hydrophobic leather (beef and nubuck) combined with CORDURA make the shoes water-repellent and keep your feet dry. The fit and width is designed to be comfortable and wide, so the boots are easy and comfortable to wear. The profile is 6mm high. The sole is non-slip and offers the best slip resistance in snow and ice. The model does not have a steel cap, but a robust plastic cap. This not only makes the shoe lighter, but also means that less cold is conducted into the shoe, since plastic has a lower thermal conductivity than metal. Instead of a steel sole, which would also conduct cold into the shoe, a textile, metal-free penetration protection (Kevlar material) is used.
