The new Lumia+ torch has a highly asymmetrical design with excellent ergonomics and perception of its geometric features. Thanks to this special design, the position of the switch is immediately found without having to use your eyes. The porthole and body are coated with thermoplastic rubber to prolong durability and reduce impact noise when used for fishing. These ergonomic features are a big advantage over round aluminium torches that give no feedback on the position of the handle and, in some cases, even require the use of two hands to turn it on. The switch has three positions: Off, On Unstable with automatic return, On. The “On Unstable” position is particularly useful in fishing because it allows flashing with a simple press. The spring-loaded strap allows adjustment according to the user’s needs, but being elastic it can be pulled out in an emergency. Power is supplied by four AA “Stilo” batteries, alkaline or rechargeable. The electronics ensure a constant level of brightness even when the batteries are rechargeable (not supplied as standard) and/or not fully charged. The LED has a white colour temperature similar to sunlight for maximum colour return in the underwater environment. The LED light beam is narrowed to a spot beam of approximately 6° by means of an ultra-transparent lens material protected by the polycarbonate optical port.
