Clarity, Meditation, Cleansing … Hand cymbals are called Tingshas in Nepal and are an integral part of any religious ceremony. The four lucky symbols have been engraved on these cymbals. They are traditionally used at the beginning and end of a ritual. Tingshas are made to sound by gently beating the two discs connected by a leather strap. The resulting tone is clear and very bright. As it is particularly perceived in the head area and provides alertness and clarity, it is often used to complete a meditation or as a sign of attention. Dimensions of the cymbals: ✔ Weight: approx. 260 g. Diameter: approx. 7 cm. Accessories included: ✔ Blue storage bag with endless knots. The bright sound of the cymbals lasts for a long time and is often used as a signal to attract attention, e.g. for tuning to meditation, at the end of a fantasy journey or even for energising rooms. Different traditional signs and motifs decorate the Tingshas as relief. These have no effect on the sound, but for the Nepali they have strong symbolic character. Our cymbals are hand cast or forged from bronze. The production is carried out under fair trade aspects. If you have any questions, please contact us – we are happy to assist you.
