These are hand made ducks from DCUK and have been carved from sustainable bamboo root. This material is often discarded in its native Indonesia and the success of DCUK wooden ducks has meant that the Devon company now employs over 200 people in Indonesia. They are able to earn up to twice the local minimum wage. Their skills are passed on from generation to generation. So, every duck from DCUK helps to support the artisan heritage of the region.
