As soon as you open your kit from DesignEtte you will find the pattern leaflet for ‘Lady Sybil’s Blouse’ on top of the yarn which has been carefully wrapped in black silk paper. In an effort to be more we have removed labels from the balls of yarn. Instead there is label inside the top of the box where you will find all the yarn information you will need about the shade and dye lot of the yarn included in your kit. The knitting skill level of this kit is designated as “Easy” – aimed at the average knitter and estimated to take 15 to 20 hours to make. Complete beginners should expect to take a few hours longer. The beautiful crocheted insert is designed with a skill level 3 “Intermediate”. Once you have mastered how to crochet the basic triangle motif, the rest of the insert will be straightforward to work. The crocheted insert will take approximately 8 hours to make. Add an extra 3 to 4 hours for finishing and working the crochet borders. To achieve the best results possible it is essential to work a tension swatch before starting to work garment to establish the right size of needles and hook for your work. If you have too many stitches to 10cm then you need to use a larger size, if you have too few stitches then use a smaller needle or hook. Join all your seams using mattress stitch remembering that the fabric is flexible so be careful not to sew too tightly and to keep the stitching fairly loose.
