These inks are formulate to get the best brilliance, but do have a poor lightfastness, in comparision with standard watercolours. Originally made for designers and illustrators, adventurous painters have found that you can mix these with heavy bodied acrylics. These inks are not waterproof once dry. They remain fully soluble and workable, as they do not contain shellac. Concentrated dye based artist quality ink, formulated for designers, illustrators and artists since 1934. They have fantastic brilliance, but poor lightfastness. Their behaviour is similar to that of watercolour
