The Draper XP1000 VDE side cutter/stripper have been manufactured from premium steel forged in Germany. The induction-hardened jaws provide ultimate effortless clean cutting for a long-term performance, all finished with an anti-corrosive dark painted finish. Wire stripping notches range from 1.5mm and 2.5mm based on moving down the handle. This is a tethered version which comes with a loop through hole that allows for a lanyard or wrist strap to be attached, ensuring that it complied with the working at height regulations. Precision-machined pivot pins not only allow for a smooth one-handed operation with minimum play for use but increases the ease of cutting harder wires. Made from two part bi-material with an ergonomic soft grip handle that allows for maximum grip and user comfort, in addition, they have been designed with horns to protect you from slipping onto live conductors. Each VDE side cutter/stripper have been individually tested to 10,000V suitable for working on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. The side cutter/strippers have a maximum cutting capacity of 2.0mm. This comes with the Draper lifetime warranty.
