- Back boxes are used behind faceplates, they allow the face plates to be screwed and secured flush to a wall.
- This back box should be used with a plaster boarded stud wall, the clips at the side of the back box should be pushed out and when the faceplate is screwed on, the back box, as well as the face plate, are held in position.
- Common face plates which may be used with a back box are light switches, plug sockets, modular systems, etc. The standard UK sized back box.
- Will secure to plasterboard (or another surface) 3-18mm thick.
