Description
This World of Data DVI-D splitter cable is designed for splitting one DVI-D signal to two DVI-D outputs. While the outputs use two DVI-I female connectors it only carries the DVI-D signal from the source. This product will split your video signal to deliver two identical images of the same resolution. It cannot be used to span an image across two displays or to show different images on each display.
**IMPORTANT**
Your displays must be the SAME RESOLUTION – Passive cable splitters simply duplicate the image to a 2nd output. If the 2nd display is set to a different resolution the image cannot be displayed and you will just get a blank screen or a warning saying the signal is out of range. Also, it cannot be used with further adapters to convert the DVI to another type such as HDMI. Finally, it needs to be noted that DVI is a video only transmitter and does not carry audio.
For best results it is recommended you use 5m cables or less and two identical displays.
