A ceramic guard protects the tool and abrasive paper in case of a wrongly set belt position. One grinding/sanding belt is included so that you can begin work immediately. Always allow the sanding belt to remove the work material under normal applied pressure and do NOT FORCE / EXERT undue pressure onto the work surface during use.
