Cerium Tungsten 2% (Gray) Introduced in the 1980s, this non-radioactive alternative to 2% tungsten Thorium is best when used primarily in low current DC welding applications. It has excellent arc-ignition capability at low currents and has therefore become the standard for many of the orbital pipe and pipe welding equipment manufacturers. In addition, it is often used in other low-amperage applications where small or delicate parts are being welded. It is not as good for high amperage use, because the oxides migrate very quickly to the heat at the tip under these conditions, and the oxide content and benefits then disappear. Notes: 1. Monitors are not calibrated the same, the color of the item shown in the photos may show slightly different from the real object. Please take the real one as standard. 2. Please allow 1-3mm error due to manual measurement. Thanks for your understanding.
ELCAN Tungstens TIG Welding Cerium 2.0% Gray WC20 Professional, 1.0 1.6 2.0 2.4 3.2 mm TIG Torch Welding electrodes, 10 Units – Dimensions: 3.2 x 175 mm
$117.99
- Dimensions: 3.2x175mm Material: 98% Tungsten and about 2% Cerium Oxide (WC20). Each package contains 10 units.
- Suitable for stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloy and carbon steel in direct current (DC) and in welding in alternating current (AC) for aluminum alloys, manganese …
- Cerium electrodes are popular because of the relative ease of arc impact, non-radioactive, and lower required amperage
- Engineered to exact specifications, these durable electrodes allow you to keep counting during the toughest welds for professional welding
- Provides excellent arc formation, arc stability and reignition, and is less prone to tip wear. The operation can be done with DC and AC
