  • The engine interface module is a sealed, engine-mounted module that provides switching relays for starter motor solenoids, glow plugs, and fuel solenoids.
  • If the engine speed rises above a certain preset value, the module sends a zero volt signal to the genset control panel to activate overspeed.
  • There are two versions of the engine interface module: EIM basic version: ElM is used in conjunction with a control panel equipped with an overspeed shutdown function.
  • Overspeed Signal (EIM Plus only) The ElM Plus monitors the speed signal from the magnetic pick-up. If the engine speed rises above a certain pre-setable value, the module sends a zero volt signal to the generator set control panel to activate the Overspe.
