Our taster set is the perfect entry to printmaking using soft polymer linoleum style blocks!
The set contains the essential tools and equipment to learn the craft of block printing relief carving. The kit contains 4 sheets of our popular polymer blocks, a 60mm brayer roller, lino handle and 5 cutters in assorted styles.
The soft double sided polymer blocks that are easier and safer to carve than traditional lino blocks. They make an excellent introduction to lino printing. The polymer material does not crumble and sharp lines can be cut for high-definition prints using standard lino cutters and carving tools.
Blocks will not distort under printing pressure.
Sheets are approximately 3mm in thickness and can be used on either side.
Each kit contains 2 of our soft (grey) sheets and 2 of our extra soft (blue) sheets each sized 100 x 150mm.
Also included is a sturdy 60mm lino roller – also known as a brayer – for transferring prints to paper.
To carve your designs into the sheets use the red lino cutter handle which has an interchangeable head to fit all five cutting shapes of nibs Included: No 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Please note: Block printing ink is not supplied in this kit.
