For the best results, it is important to oil your shredder each time you empty the wastebasket or a minimum of twice a month. To oil your shredder, simply feed the lubrication sheet into the paper entry and release (You may need to use more sheets for paper shredders with a wider paper entry). Once the lubrication sheet has been shredded, run the shredder in reverse for 2-3 seconds and simply repeat the instructions when you empty your paper waste bin again. Do not use aerosol oils to lubricate your shredder. Such lubricants are petroleum-based and can be a serious fire hazard.
