The Firefix ceramic cord with a diameter of 12 mm comes with a tube of heat-resistant Firefix adhesive (17 ml sealing cord adhesive) for attaching the cord. The cord is 2 m long and like the adhesive grey/anthracite. The cord is used for sealing fireplace doors, oven doors, pipes and much more. The cord is made of glass fibre as glass fabric and heat resistant up to 550°C. The included Firefix special adhesive is heat-resistant up to 1,100 °C and specially designed for the cord. The surface on which the cord is to be applied must be thoroughly cleaned. Then simply apply the Firefix adhesive very thinly and press immediately with the cord. The subsequent drying time is 2-3 hours.
