Transform your boating experience with The Flush-M Mercury which is specifically designed to permanently replace the OEM flush plug on late model Four Stroke Mercury Outboard Engines. Its unique features simplify repetitive engine flushing & are a must-have for single & multiple-engine boats alike.
FREEZING CLIMATE USER
The Flush-M has a ‘punch’ out sacrificial seal in the center of the cap. If the outboard engine is operated or winterized in freezing locations, it is recommended that this seal be removed.
INSTALLATION STEPS
1. Lift the Flush-M cap off of the flush port & lay the base of the cap on a flat work surface.
2. Insert the appropriately sized center-punch tool into the vent hole located at the center of the cap until it is resting on the sacrificial seal.
3. Using a mallet, lightly strike the center-punch tool, breaking free the sacrificial seal.
GUIDE FOR MERCURY INSTALLATION
1. Remove the original OEM plug from the engine cowling.
2. Unscrew the OEM plug from the 3/4″ female hose receptacle.
3. Separate the OEM plug from the lanyard by rotating it in a counterclockwise rotation until free.
4. Fit the Flush-M Mercury to the lanyard & the ¾” female hose receptacle.
5. Install the Flush-M Mercury back into the engine cowling, securing it in place with a ¼ turn in a clockwise rotation.
6. If required, use a wrench on the male quick-connect collar for added leverage. Do not overtighten past ¼ turn.
Your engine is now ready to be operated or flushed. To flush, simply remove the flushing cap & attach a hose to the Flush-MTM utilizing the included quick connector. Refit the cap upon completion.
RED QUICK CONNECT
The included red quick connect has a built-in check valve which keeps the flush hose pressurized in-between use, preserving water, making it the best choice for responsible boat maintenance.
