Product description
GARNELEN4YOU habituation set for aquarium animals such as shrimp, crabs, snails, fish etc. Safe acclimatisation to new water parameters via flow control with suction cup holders. Made in Germany – Packed in a workshop for people with disabilities. In a sustainable, climate-neutral storage and transport bag.
Instructions for acclimation of shrimp: Transfer animals with water from transport bag to a bucket. Place the long hose end of the habit set via suction cup in the aquarium, into which the animals should be transferred and accustomed. Place the short end of the hose in the bucket and secure it to a smooth surface with a second suction cup. Suck in water and adjust the flow rate using the flow valve. Initially choose a slow flow rate (e.g. 1-2 drops per second), later this can be increased. The transport water should therefore be approx. 5 times, i.e. ideally, 80% of the water in the bucket is from the aquarium, into which the animals should be transferred. You should take at least 2-3 hours for this. Depending on the sensitivity of the animals (Sulawesi shrimp, bee and TaiTiBee shrimp of the genus Caridina, tiger shrimp and neocaridina shrimp with descending sensitivity) as well as differences in water values, the acclimation time and the flow rate should be extended or adjusted accordingly. Finally, transfer animals to the new aquarium with a landing net.
