Homogeneous polymer is the name of the magic material from which the microfibres are synthetically made. Better known as polyester and polyamide. Finer and lighter than natural silk – with 1.0 dtex and 1 gram in weight per 10 km of fibre length for comparison. Only fibres with 1.0 dtex or less may be called microfibres.
