The Rubber Plant, also known as Ficus Elastica is a species of plant in the Fig Genus. It has broad shiny oval leaves which are glossy and leathery looking. The plant has a variety of colours of dark green, light green and a distinctive marking of cream splotched leaves. It is a popular ornamental houseplant and gives the look of a small tree indoors. The Rubber Plant looks stunning next to a fireplace, television area and near door entrances. Unlike the real plant, this will never drop leaves or fade in colour making it perfect if you don’t want the hassle or have the time to care for living plants. The foliage is UV protected to prevent the colour from fading. Supplied in a plastic pot. For an extra stylish look, plant up into a large planter or tub. Please note the plant will be packed in a cardboard carton for maximum protection, lying down flat in the box which can cause the foliage to be compressed and a little out of shape. The perfect shape can be regained by gently pulling and fluffing the foliage back into shape.
