That makes these warm gloves ideal for your road-bike, mountain-bike, cyclocross, or gravel training rides in rainy winter or transition seasons (spring, autumn). Neoprene itself is not waterproof but encloses the water in its pores. When you exercise, your body produces heat, which in turn heats up the water trapped in the neoprene gloves and consequently they work as an insulating layer. For long and low-intensity rides in the rain, these gloves are not the ideal choice, because your body won’t produce enough heat for the neoprene to work as desired.
