They then heat themselves by contact with oxygen within 15 minutes and provide up to 5 hours of pleasant warmth. Instead of the sodium chloride salt contained in many hand warmers, the green woodpecker “natural hand warmer” contains potassium chloride, which is also used in plant fertilisers.
